About Peter

I graduated from Loyola University Chicago with my PhD in Early American History in 2016. My interests include gender, unfree labor, and religion in early America and the Atlantic World. My dissertation examines the notion of Pennsylvania as the “best poor man’s country” and the relationship between gender and labor in the colony.  I received by B.A. in history and political science from the University of Pittsburgh in 2008.
